CGS Accomplishments and Plans
FY 1997 Accomplishments
Since FMIS was first implemented on July 1, 1997, the accomplishments for
this initial fiscal year have been comprised mostly of completing the initial phase and correcting any problems which were discovered. In addition to that, we have also completed the following:
- completed outstanding operational reports for ORS
- stabilized processing and reporting for CGS
- developed a consolidated budget status inquiry screen
- created the CGS web pages
- enhanced FREDI to record RCUH encumbrances and transactions at a detail level
- started development of the automated billing module
FY 1998 Plans
Plans for the second fiscal year have not been finalized yet. So far, some of the objectives that have been discussed are:
- complete development of the automated billing module
- improve ORS operations through enhanced screens and reports
- determine feasibility of a pre-award module
- determine feasibility of integrating a cost sharing module
- distribute access to the principal investigators
- provide access to FMIS screens and reports through the Internet
