LOGIN / ACCOUNT ISSUES

User can't login
|
Double check the following items:
|
The correct URL is: http://www.hawaii.edu/fmis
The ID and password is being entered in the correct case. The system is case sensitive and normally IDs are all lowercase.
You can verify your ID and password by logging into webmail (http://mail.hawaii.edu)
Check to see that your browser has cookies enabled.

In order to log into ePurchasing the user must have two valid types of ID:
Get information about obtaining or managing your UH Username and password by:
Get a FMIS RACF:.

This is handled by your fiscal officer, who submits all the necessary forms.
Once your FMIS RACF and FMIS VBS security is setup, your fiscal officer
is notified and they just need to re-edit your eFmis profile from
the ePurchasing's Maintain Users page. Your eFmis profile
will automatically be updated with your FMIS RACF when your fiscal
officer clicks on the 'SAVE' button.

| User can log into the system, but gets kicked out when they try to access a menu option |
The system stores the user id in a session cookie and checks it for each action:

Check to see if the browser has all cookies enabled.
|
|
| User cannot access requisiton or purchase order account |
In order to use an ePurchasing requisition or purchase order account:
|
The user must have FMIS access to that account.
The user must have the appropriate VBS security for the account they are trying to use.

|
DOCUMENTS / PRINTING ISSUES

User can not print their document (document does not open in Adobe)
|
The Adobe Acrobat weblink needs to be set to Internet Explorer.
|
In version 4.0, it can be set in File >> Preferences >> Weblink.
Both the Browser Application and the Connection type needs to be set to Internet Explorer. In version 5.0, it is set during the installation.

| User can not print their document (form is displayed but no data) |
If you can successfully pull up the document with data:
The problem is with the user's instance of Adobe.
Close Adobe completely, reopen the document and click on the print button again.
If problem persists, reboot the computer.

If you get a blank form when trying to print:
The problem is with the data.
The most frequent problem is a missing close parenthesis ')'. Correct the data and try it again.

| Document displays nicely in Adobe, but prints hardcopy with strange characters |
Check to ensure your printer is installed with the postscript print drivers. |
